Trend theme of color in focus at trade fair for ophthalmic optics

On January 10 and 11, 2026, the ophthalmic optics industry can expect an inspiring start to the year. The INTERLOOK trade fair will once again showcase the latest trends in eyewear design, color worlds and smart technologies at Messe Dortmund.

Dortmund, 15.10.2025 – The INTERLOOK trade fair offers a comprehensive overview of current developments in the world of ophthalmic optics – with exciting exhibitors, a top-class supporting program and plenty of room for exchange.

Top exhibitors provide impetus for the future of ophthalmic optics

INTERLOOK promises a high-caliber field of exhibitors again next year. Visitors can look forward to a wide range of leading brands and frame manufacturers – including CCO, EINSTOFFEN and Eurovisie. Special attention will be paid to the Italian company Safilo, which will once again be producing eyewear for international labels such as BOSS, CARRERA, UNDER ARMOUR and CAROLINA HERRERA. In addition to these industry giants,Leica Eyecare, Vistan, von Bogen, Nice for Eyes, Ofar, SHADES, STEPPER, Visibilia and Walter Binde will also be taking part. More than 200 brands will be represented at the trade fair in January. Medical companies and service providers such as OPA (EDV-Optik Partner) will also be exhibiting. All companies will be presenting the latest trends, new products and innovations in ophthalmic optics.

“Color” as a central theme in the supporting program

The trend theme of color is a central element at INTERLOOK – in the design area and above all in different frames. It also plays an important role in the supporting program. The internationally sought-after color expert Niels Holger Wien, Chairman of Intercolor and international trend expert from the German Fashion Institute (DMI), will be live on site as a color ambassador on both days of the trade fair. In exciting presentations and personal discussions, he will provide exclusive insights into the global color trends of 2026 and show which colors will set the tone in the future.
