By train:
Deutsche Bahn offers a discounted event ticket for your journey: from €59 (2nd class) or €95 (1st class) with train reservation – or flexible from €82 (2nd class) or €119 (1st class, incl. seat reservation).
By public transport:
From the subway station “Westfalenhallen” (line U45) you can reach the exhibition grounds in just 10 minutes from Dortmund main station. Alternatively, the U46 will also take you to the “Westfalenhallen” stop in about 5 minutes. The stops are barrier-free and well signposted.

Visa, WLAN AND BARRIER FREEDOM
Visa form
In accordance with the decree issued by the Federal Foreign Office on 24.07.2013, a letter of invitation from the trade fair company is generally not required. If you still require such a letter, you can create it yourself by filling out the form with your personal details. After submitting the form, you will receive your invitation letter by e-mail.
WLAN
Messe Dortmund offers free WLAN via the CityWLAN of the City of Dortmund. Connect to the “Hotspot Westfalenhallen” network, accept the terms and conditions and you can start using the WLAN.
Accessibility
The exhibition grounds are completely barrier-free. Halls 4 to 8 are connected at ground level, and the upper halls and the congress area are accessible via elevators. Disabled toilets with Eurokey locking systems are available in all halls. Wheelchairs can be borrowed for a deposit at the North Entrance (limited availability). Shopping and culinary delights in Dortmund
The Rosenterrassen restaurant and the many cafés and restaurants in the beautiful Kreuzviertel district – just a few minutes’ walk from the trade fair – are tempting culinary destinations.
NEW: Digital parking
Only parking lot A8 is available for visitors during the entire trade fair.
Access is via an automatic barrier system.
A digital parking ticket is required for use.
It is valid for cars and only on the day booked.
The parking ticket can be purchased at any time – even during the trade fair – in the trade fair ticket store.
Entering the license plate number at the time of purchase is optional, but speeds up entry via automatic license plate recognition.
Alternatively, parking tickets can be purchased directly at the barrier during the trade fair.
Payment of the on-site parking tickets is
- contactless via QR code or
- at the parking machines on A8 and at the West entrance (without cash function)
The maximum parking fee is EUR 11.00 per car.
